The Christmas tree is up, the wreaths are hung, and even the goats seem to be getting into the holiday cheer. This gift-giving season we're inspired — perhaps unsurprisingly — by traditional forms, timeless styles, and things that don't require a charging cord to turn on. Here are five of the gifts we'll be giving friends and family to celebrate the season.
For the Locavore
This year we brought our soap program in house, and closer to home. For friends who are passionate about eating and living local, we'll be giving our tallow-based soaps. For the most traditional, we'll pick out a few bars of our old school pure tallow soap. For those with a green thumb, we'll go for rosemary or basil bar. The holiday gift sets, which include a tallow balm as well, are nearly sold out, but there are still a few if you move quickly.
For the Die-Hard
We've been wearing our Quittner baseball caps since a friend gave us a few in celebration of opening the Warehouse in December 2021. Now, two years later, we had a few made to celebrate the occasion. These have been highly requested, so we've already squirreled away a few for friends.
For the Host
We're always excited to have new exclusive work in by our friend Jessica Weinberg of Firehouse Pottery Co. Her pieces are singular and striking, while forming a connective thread with the historic designs we adore. As art, functional pottery, and local heritage, we think they make the perfect gift.
For the Nibbler
We're nibblers. We love a hunk of cheese and a slab of bread and a pile of grapes and maybe some good cured meat while we're at it. We give fellow nibblers a set of our breakfast boards. On their marble and brass stand, they elegantly invite afternoon snacks.
For the Person Who says "No Gifts"
"A bayberry taper burned to the socket brings health to the home and wealth to the pocket," or so they say. We're making handmade traditional bayberry and beeswax taper candles this holiday season, and they make the perfect gift for someone who said they didn't want anything.
