Our Story
We met as children on a farm in the mountains of New York. We ‘fell in love’ as kids with a shared curiosity of the world, and reunited as grown-ups who wanted to do something that mattered, but didn’t quite know what that meant. So we looked to where we started — back when we were working with our hands and catering to our curiosity.
When we created Quittner, we set out to build a community that preserves memories and makes new ones through the objects we surround ourselves with and the people who made them. In our workshop, we revive family treasures and create new ones. In our store, curated pieces from the past connect with the present and our Signature Collection offers new forms that draw on traditional methods and techniques.
We believe a home should amplify what you value by layering objects from the past and treasures from the present with an eye towards an optimistic future. By supporting Quittner, you join a community of artists, makers, and craftspeople who truly believe that beautiful things, well-designed and lovingly cared for, make life a little sweeter.
